Bell Times
The morning warning bell at Mackellar rings at 8.42am every morning. The students are expected to start moving to class and arrive there for the start bell at 8.44am. This may vary for cross campus senior classes that begin at 7.30am or 8.00am depending on the course. School finishes at 3.14pm every day except Mondays.
On Mondays, school finishes at 2.30pm for the students to either go home and complete school work OR stay at school in the library only. The only students that are permitted to leave the school at 2:30pm are those whose parents have signed the Monday Early Leavers form.
Every 3rd Friday there is a Year Assembly where all students from all years are expected to attend. This is the chance for the year advisors to hand out any whole school information the students need.
Wednesdays for years 9 & 10 only are Sport Afternoons. For the rest of the school it is normal timetable.
Thursdays have a longer recess for a staff meeting to be held concerning student welfare.
Fridays alternate between Pastoral Care, Year Assemblies and Formal Assembly.
