Year 9
In Year 9 the mandatory subjects studied are English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Students at Mackellar Girls also choose 3 electives from the following subjects:
Dance, Visual Arts, Drama, Japanese, Commerce, Information Systems Technology, Food Technology, Music, French, Physical and Sports Studies, Textiles Technology, German and Design and Technology.
There are differentiated assessments for each of the subjects where the students are expected to perform to their personal best.
The Elite Performer Program is available to students in Year 9 and then continues through to Year 10 (please see link below for more information).
